Fire Alarm System Design

The design does not stop at detector spacing; it extends to how the whole building behaves the moment a fire is detected.

• Layouts for detectors, audible and visible notification appliances and manual call points, with coverage and audibility addressed.
• Supporting calculations: battery standby, voltage drop and circuit loading.
• A cause and effect matrix: what every system does on each alarm — lifts, air conditioning, smoke control, doors and voice evacuation.
