Fire Safety Review

A review at the level of the whole building, not of the systems alone. We start from the questions that actually govern safety: how many people are in each space, how do they get out, what keeps fire and smoke away from them on the way, and can the fire service reach the building? The answers then become a clear gap report.

What the review covers:

  • Occupant load, the number and capacity of exits, travel and common path distances, stairs and discharge.
  • Compartmentation and fire resistance: barriers, openings, penetrations, and stair and lift enclosures.
  • Integration with the active systems — detection, alarm, suppression and smoke control — without going into their detailed calculations.
  • Fire service access: roads, approach points, water supplies, and access to roofs and floors.
  • A gap report linking every finding to its code requirement, with a practical recommendation ranked by severity and cost.

When you need it: before submitting to the authority, when acquiring a project or taking it over from another team, when a building changes use, or when you receive comments whose root cause is unclear.

For the systems package itself, see fire protection systems review; for installed systems surveyed on site, see fire protection system assessment.
